Terms and conditions
Terms and conditions for Giavor.com
These terms and conditions (the "Terms") apply between you as the customer and Giavor AB, company registration number 5567505184, Tomtbergavägen 1 1tr, ("Giavor", "we", "us", "our"), when you purchase a product from us through our website www.giavor.com.
1. Orders
To make a purchase on our website, you must be at least 18 years old. By completing an order, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is correct.
1.1 Order confirmation
After you have completed your order, an order confirmation will be sent to the email address you provided when making the purchase. It is important that you check that all details in the order confirmation are correct. If you discover any errors, please contact us immediately.
1.2 Changes to a placed order
Because we aim to process and dispatch your order as quickly as possible, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that changes can be made after the order has been confirmed. Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to make a change, and we will do our best to assist you.
2. Prices, price adjustments and payment
All prices on our website are stated in Swedish kronor (SEK) and include applicable VAT.
We may change our prices before a contract has been entered into. For a confirmed order, the price stated in the order confirmation or approved order specification applies. Subsequent price changes by suppliers do not affect an order that has already been confirmed.
If a price or any other information is incorrect due to a typographical, system or calculation error, and the customer realised or should have realised that it was incorrect, the seller is not bound by the incorrect information. We will then contact the customer without undue delay. The customer may choose either to accept the corrected information or to cancel the order, in which case any amounts already paid will be refunded.
We offer the following payment options:
-
Card payment: We accept payments by VISA, Mastercard, American Express, etc. The amount is charged directly to your card at the time of purchase.
-
Invoice and instalment payments through Klarna: Through our partnership with Klarna, you may choose to pay by invoice or in instalments. If you select either of these payment options, Klarna's terms and conditions apply. You can read more about them on Klarna's website.
3. Shipping and delivery
We offer free standard shipping to postal service points within Sweden. If other delivery methods or destination countries are offered, any applicable cost will be shown before the order is completed.
3.1 Delivery time
Unless otherwise stated at checkout or in the order confirmation, the estimated time from order confirmation until the item arrives at the specified delivery address or postal service point is 1–2 business days for in-stock gold jewelry and approximately 21 business days for diamond jewelry and made-to-order jewelry.
The delivery time or delivery period stated in the order confirmation applies to the individual order. If the delivery is at risk of being delayed, we will contact the customer with an update as soon as possible.
3.2 Delivery method and risk
We work with PostNord and use its registered mail service, REK, where this delivery method is available. Shipments are trackable and insured in transit. Once the order has been dispatched, the customer will receive a shipping confirmation containing tracking information by email.
Giavor is responsible for the item until it has been delivered in accordance with the Swedish Consumer Sales Act. A delay does not limit the customer's rights under mandatory consumer law.
3.3 Uncollected parcels
If the customer does not collect the parcel within the period specified by the carrier and the parcel is returned to us, we reserve the right to charge a fee of SEK 400 to cover reasonable handling and return-shipping costs.
4. Right of withdrawal and returns
4.1 Right of withdrawal
Under the Swedish Distance Contracts Act, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving the item. We offer a 30-day return period. For us to accept your return, the jewelry must be in new and unaltered condition, and the security seal must be unbroken and remain attached. Rings must not have been resized. The 30-day period is counted from the date you receive the parcel.
If an item of jewelry has been engraved, SEK 700 will be deducted from the refund. Special orders are not covered by your right to return or exchange the item. Only the first return of a specific product per customer is free of charge. For returns that are not approved because the conditions have not been met, a shipping charge of SEK 130 within Sweden and SEK 300 internationally will apply. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us within this period. The item must be returned unused and in its original packaging.
When making a return, the customer is responsible for the item until it has been received by GIAVOR. We recommend sending returns using a tracked and insured service. GIAVOR is not responsible for shipments that are lost or damaged during return transit.
5. Complaints regarding defects
If an item is defective or damaged, the customer has the right to make a complaint under the Swedish Consumer Sales Act. Contact us as soon as possible after discovering the defect, and we will assist with an assessment and any appropriate remedy.
5.1 Warranty
The warranty is voluntary and applies in addition to the customer's rights under the Swedish Consumer Sales Act.
The warranty provider is the seller stated on the receipt or order confirmation: for purchases made on giavor.com, this is Giavor AB, company registration number 556750-5184, and for purchases made in the physical store, this is Giavor Guld Handelsbolag, company registration number 969774-5694.
Giavor provides a lifetime warranty on diamond jewelry and a five-year warranty on other gold jewelry, calculated from the date of delivery.
The lifetime warranty covers only defects in materials and workmanship (manufacturing defects). It does not cover damage caused by improper care, negligence, misuse, normal wear and tear, or other damage that is not attributable to defects in materials or workmanship. The same limitation applies to the five-year warranty on other gold jewelry.
If a defect is covered by the warranty, Giavor will repair or replace the item following an assessment. Contact info@giavor.com or 08-531 803 40 and describe the defect. The customer must be able to provide proof of purchase, for example a receipt, order confirmation or other reliable documentation. Giavor may need to examine the jewelry before deciding the warranty claim.
For purchases made before 1 September 2026, the warranty undertaking and marketing in effect at the time of purchase apply if they are more favourable to the customer.
6. Personal data
We value your privacy and process your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection law. For more information about how we process your personal data, please read our privacy policy on our website.
7. Disputes and complaints
If you have a complaint or are dissatisfied with your purchase, please contact us at info@giavor.com and we will do our best to resolve the matter. If we cannot reach an agreement, you may refer the matter to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN) for an impartial review.
8. Delays beyond Giavor's control
If delivery is delayed, the customer's rights under the Swedish Consumer Sales Act apply. Entitlement to damages and any exemption from liability for damages will be assessed in accordance with the law.
9. Terms and conditions for purchases made in the physical store
9.1 Contracting party and scope
This section applies to purchases and orders for goods entered into in Giavor's physical store. The seller and contracting party is:
Giavor Guld Handelsbolag
Company registration number: 969774-5694
Tomtbergavägen 1, 1 tr
145 68 Norsborg
Email: info@giavor.com
Telephone: 08-531 803 40
For purchases made in the physical store, this section replaces the other sections on this page. The preceding sections apply to purchases made through giavor.com with Giavor AB as the seller.
If the main part of the assignment is a repair, the setting of a customer-owned stone or another service, separate service terms and conditions and the Swedish Consumer Services Act may apply.
9.2 Order and order specification
A contract is entered into when Giavor Guld Handelsbolag has accepted the order and the customer has approved the order specification. The customer will receive an order confirmation summarising the agreed details.
Where relevant, the order confirmation must state the product, model, item number, quantity, metal, fineness, colour, ring size, engraving, personal customisations and stone specifications. It must state expressly whether a centre diamond is included in the total price, purchased separately or supplied by the customer.
For a special order or custom design, the customer must also approve the final drawing, sketch, CAD file or equivalent documentation where such documentation is used.
The customer must check the order confirmation and contact Giavor promptly if any information is incorrect.
9.3 Price, deposit and final payment
The price is stated in Swedish kronor and includes VAT. The price and scope stated in the approved order confirmation apply to the order.
The amount of the deposit is stated in the order confirmation. The deposit is a part payment and is deducted from the total price of the order.
Giavor begins purchasing, manufacturing or customisation once the deposit has been recorded as paid and all information or approvals required for the order have been provided.
The remaining amount is payable upon collection, before delivery or at the other time expressly stated in the order confirmation. The item will not be released until the full amount due has been paid.
9.4 Changes
Changes following approval of the order specification must be agreed in writing. Giavor cannot guarantee that a change will be possible once purchasing, manufacturing or customisation has begun.
An approved change may affect the price and delivery time. A revised price or other material change must be approved by the customer in writing before the change is carried out.
9.5 Cancellation before delivery
The customer may cancel the order for the item until the item has been handed over or otherwise delivered.
Upon cancellation, Giavor is entitled to reasonable compensation under the Swedish Consumer Sales Act for:
- specific costs of entering into and performing the order that Giavor cannot recover in any other way,
- specific costs arising as a result of the cancellation, and
- other reasonable loss, having regard to the price of the order, the time at which the cancellation is made, work performed and the circumstances in general.
Giavor is entitled to offset such compensation against the deposit paid. Any part of the deposit exceeding the compensation to which Giavor is entitled will be refunded. If the reasonable compensation exceeds the deposit, Giavor may claim the difference.
If the customer cancels before Giavor has accepted the order, the deposit will be refunded.
9.6 Delivery time and collection
The estimated delivery time for the order is stated in the order confirmation and is calculated from the time the deposit has been recorded and the complete order specification has been approved, unless otherwise stated.
A delivery time stated as "approximately", "estimated" or as a range is an estimate. If the timing changes, Giavor will contact the customer with an update. The customer's rights in the event of delay under mandatory law are not affected.
Giavor will contact the customer when the order is ready for collection. The customer must be able to provide the order number and present identification.
9.7 Voluntary returns, exchanges and right of withdrawal
Purchases entered into in a physical store are not subject to a statutory right of withdrawal. A voluntary right of return or exchange applies only if expressly agreed and stated in the order confirmation or receipt.
Special-order, engraved, resized or otherwise personally customised items are not covered by any voluntary right of return or exchange unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing.
This does not limit the customer's right to cancel before delivery or the customer's rights in the event of defects or delay.
9.8 Defects, complaints and warranty
The customer has the right to complain about original defects under the Swedish Consumer Sales Act. A complaint must be made within a reasonable time after the customer noticed or should have noticed the defect. A complaint made within two months of discovering the defect is always considered to have been made in due time.
A complaint may be made via info@giavor.com, by calling 08-531 803 40 or in the store. The customer should provide the order number, describe the defect and attach photographs where this assists the assessment.
Giavor handles defects and delays in accordance with the Swedish Consumer Sales Act. These Terms do not limit the customer's right, for example, to repair, replacement, a price reduction, cancellation or damages where the statutory conditions are met.
For items covered by Giavor's product warranty, the warranty terms in section 5.1 above also apply. The warranty is voluntary and does not limit the customer's rights under the Swedish Consumer Sales Act.
9.9 Complaints and disputes
Please contact Giavor first at info@giavor.com or 08-531 803 40 so that we can try to resolve the matter together.
If we cannot reach an agreement, the customer may refer the matter to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN), Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm, arn.se. Disputes may also be heard by the Swedish general courts. Swedish law applies.
9.10 Version of the Terms
The version of the Terms that the customer was given access to and accepted when the contract for the order was entered into applies to the order. The order confirmation must contain a link to, or an attached copy of, the applicable version.
